
About Us
We are three musicians (2 from Italy and 1 from Indonesia) who join together in a Trio formation (violin, cello and piano) called Cineclassic Trio. The three musicians met in Surabaya, Indonesia, where the two Italian string players were occasionally teaching master classes.
Our musicians have obtained Master Degrees in their own instrument at Universities in Italy, Canada, and China, and have been coached by first class musicians such as Quartetto Italiano, Massimo Quarta, and Yo-Yo Ma.
They have a successful career as music educators, orchestra members, and chamber music performers.
The Cineclassic Trio focuses on a movies soundtracks repertoire producing original piano trio arrangements of popular films music.
They have performed in Indonesia and Italy, and their arrangements promoted through their Youtube channel are requested worldwide.

Rocco Malagoli
violinist
Born in 1975, obtaines his primary school teacher Diploma at the “S.T.D’Aquino ” Institute in Correggio – Reggio Emilia in 1995 and in 1998 his Bachelor’s degree in violin at the “A.Peri” musical Institute in the same city.
Between 1995 and 1999 teaches violin to children at the “A.Peri” musical Institute in Reggio Emilia, takes part in the Tutti violin section in the following orchestras : “A. Toscanini” in Parma , “G.Verdi” in Milan ,Orchestra del Teatro Comunale in Bologna, and he’s selected for the “Italian youth orchestra” in Fiesole.
Obtaines the suitability at the “Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchestra” conducted by Claudio Abbado, wins the third prize at the international competition of Tortona and second prize at “Racconigi City” competition (first prize not assigned ).
From 1999 to 2001 admitted by audition at the Musical Institute in Lugano (Switzerland) furthering his musical studies under the guidance of Master Massimo Quarta (first prize at the Paganini international violin competition) and wins the two yearly auditions at ” Giuseppe Verdi ” Theatre in Trieste where he works as co-principal first violin.
In 2007 obtains his Master degree in Violin and musical studies at the “A.Peri” musical Institute in Reggio Emilia.
In 2001 wins the international competition for tutti violin at the National Accademy of Santa Cecilia in Rome where he worked until 2013.
He chose to quit symphonic orchestra seat and currently as freelancer is part of some chamber music ensemble like Virtuosi Italiani, sharing his music knowledge, experience and passion creating new opportunities of improvement especially for young musicians both in Italy and abroad.

Matteo Montanari

Matteo Montanari was born in Ravenna, Italy, and began his musical training at the age of 7. In 1996, Matteo received his conservatory diploma in violoncello studies (M. Mus.) at the Musical Institute “G. Verdi” of Ravenna, where he graduated with a perfect grade of 10/10. In the same year he was awarded the Rotary Prize as the Best Graduate Musician of the year. In 1999 he completed the Professional Studies program at the Musical Institute of the San Marino Republic under the guidance of M° Marianne Chen.
From 1996 to 1998 he attended the chamber music and orchestral programs of the Fiesole School of Music studying with Quartetto Italiano, Amadeus Quartett, Trio di Trieste, Trio di Parma and Trio della Scala, and studied cello with Amedeo Baldovino, Giacinto Caramia and Andrea Nannoni. During the same period he served as Principal Violoncello in the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana (O.G.I.), collaborating with prestigious conductors like Riccardo Muti, Giuseppe Sinopoli and Luciano Berio.
In 1999 he was chosen by Riccardo Chailly as Principal Assistant of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano “G.Verdi”, a place he has held until 2007 as he moved to Spain at the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra. Since 2009 he is back in Italy and he is currently collaborating with the most important orchestras of the country.
He has maintained constant concert activity in many Italian orchestras, such as I Virtuosi Italiani, Symphonica Toscanini, Theatre Orchestra of Cagliari, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia. He has performed on tours in the most important concert halls of Europe, South America and Eastern Asia and he has played with many important conductors including L.Maazel, V.Gergiev, R.Barshai, C.Hogwood, L.Slatkin, H.Blomsted, H.Rilling, M.Rostropovich, F.Bruggen, L.Jia, V. Jurowsky, M. Honeck and C.P. Flor. He has also been active in the realms of Pop and Jazz music collaborating with artists like Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublè, Luis Bacalov and Max Roach.
An avid proponent of chamber music, Matteo plays with many string chamber ensembles, and also frequently arranges concerts to promote the chamber music repertoire. In 2007, as member of Tenerife String Quartett, he performed Mendelssohn’s Octet together with the Berlin Philarmoniker String Quartett.
He has recorded for Philips, RCA, Sony, Decca and Deutsche Grammophon.
Matteo has a variety of teaching experience. In early 2006, an amateur orchestra, “La Verdi per Tutti” (“The Verdi for Everyone”), was founded as an extension of the Orchestra Verdi. M. Montanari was asked to be the professional section leader and tutor for the viola, cello and contrabass sections. His responsibilities included teaching individual members of the lower string sections, coaching the sections on their parts, and performing with the orchestra. He has also maintained a private teaching studio since 1996, working with students of all ages and levels.
From 2010 to 2011 Matteo has joined the International Music Conservatory of Indonesia in Jakarta (YMJ) as Head of strings department. His tasks included teaching string students from Elementary until University grades in single and group lessons, arranging music for any string ensemble, conducting the student orchestra, teaching theory subjects, public lecturing and performing, setting up the strings curriculum and course programs and coordinating the work of all the string teachers. Throughout the 2012 he has been developing string music in Surabaya (Indonesia) promoting concerts, master classes, teaching methods and music competitions.
In 2013 he has founded AMA (Accademia Musicale Armonica) in the city of Surabaya, the first music school in Indonesia to offer a western standard music education with the support of qualified teachers from abroad.

Yoanita Maria Kartadihardja

Yoanita is from Indonesia, she started playing the piano at the age of 4 and violin at 15, later on through the years, she learned some brass and Chinese instruments. She studied at Shanghai Conservatory of Music in piano performance under Prof. Huang Hong, and graduated with a Bachelor of Art in 2010 at East China Normal University in Music Education following the Shanghai government scholarship program, majoring in piano and minor in singing. She is also achieved the Licentiate Royal School of Music (2012) in piano performance and (2018) in violin performance.
After graduation, she worked as a program development coordinator and exam proctor in Sforzando music school which dedicated for special needs children. Yoanita worked as an assistant conductor in New Shanghai Orchestra, where she developed her talent and career with a British composer, Gary Sanderson.
Yoanita is one of a founder of youth orchestra in Surabaya. In 2013 - 2019, she has been promoted as a Vice Director, conductor, music manager, and music arranger of Orkes Kota Pahlawan.
Besides working, Yoanita has many experience in live performances. In 2012 and 2013 she was invited as a piano guest soloist in Shanghai International Art Festival and performed in Shanghai Oriental Art Center. In 2014, She was invited to join as a violin sectional in Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, she has performed several chamber concerts and invited as a professional pianist of several musical dramas in Indonesia, China, Singapore, HongKong, Italy, and Canada.
She also had an opportunity to join several masterclasses with Johnny Gandelsman, Yo-Yo Ma, Martin Chalifour, and join festivals named Youth Music Culture Guangdong in 2019 and 2020, and Pacific Region International Summer Music Association 2021 as a violinist.
Yoanita is currently the principal of Vivo Music School Surabaya, member of Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as pursuing her master degree in music education at the University of British Columbia.
